When your passion becomes your livelihood you know you have chosen the right path. I remember going with my mother to the shops when I was a little girl and spending hours in the local stationery shop while she did the shopping. I couldn’t get enough of the beautiful papers & pens, the colours and textures.
Well, not much has changed! After studying graphic design and advertising for three years it was time to get a job…tick. Then I met my wonderful husband and we got married…tick. Naturally, I designed and produced our wedding stationery and this is where Lara’s Designs was born. For the past 8 years we have been creating unique and inspired event stationery.
We have worked hard to build a flawless reputation for personal service and for going the extra mile for our clients, all the while delivering a flawless product at the end of the day. No job is too big, too small or too challenging. Another passion of mine is finding a way to get things done, figuring out how to make the dream a reality. I don’t often hear myself say ‘that simply can’t be done’. We love pushing the envelope, so to speak, coming up with new ideas and creating unique items for special events.
Adios Amigos! We are off to Graaff Reinet for the weekend to celebrate a very dear friends wedding. She is getting married at the exclusive Samara Private Game Reserve. Inspired by the grooms love for flying and the natural tones of the Karoo, below is the digital invite that we designed for her and her fiancé Johan. Love you Kay! ♥
There are so many great ideas out there that one can use for displaying your seating plan. One can really have fun deciding on this item of your stationery and it can become quite a feature at your pre-drinks area. I am still a fan of the huge canvas print on an easel, however if you are looking for something a little different or interactive there is really so much you can do. Here is a seating plan we designed and created for one of Wedding Concepts’ brides. Each guest’s name is printed on the canvas and next to their name we pinned a round perspex disc with their table number on it. x
Here are some stationery pictures of the 5th wedding we have worked on in as many days! Loving the warm tones coupled with the dark wood.
